Hiya, Paulina! Welcome back to planDisney. I'm glad you ran by with your question!
Registration for most
runDisney events opens around eight to nine months before the event. Unfortunately, registration has already opened (and sold out in most cases) for all the currently announced in-person races, so you may need to wait until additional 2026 races have been announced. I am also sorry to say that the
2026 Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend is the last one on this coast for a while. To register for future Walt Disney World races, you'll want to pay special attention to the event and registration dates listed on the banner of runDisney.com
If you are interested in an at-home taste of runDisney, the
Virtual 12Ks of Christmas is still open and available for registration on the
runDisney website. Regardless of whether you run in-person or virtually, you will need to have an account on runDisney.com if you don't already have one. This account is the same MyDisney account that can be used to log into the Disneyland and Walt Disney World websites.
Paulina, to register, you will need the information for the racers you will be registering. This includes name, birthdate, address, shirt size, and email address. Certain information, like emergency contact and shirt size, can be changed later, but you'll want to make sure all contact information is correct. Race weekends tend to sell out quickly, so be sure to register the day registration opens!
The
planDisney "Beginner's Guide to runDisney" podcast covers everything from registering to race day and beyond. You can watch it on YouTube or stream it on various podcast platforms. Hopefully, it'll be helpful as you prepare for registration day!
Paulina, if you have any more questions, don't hesitate to visit planDisney again.
I am happy to help!Every Mile is Magic,
Melissa
