Hi there, Christina! Welcome to planDisney!
The countdown is on! In less than a week, you'll be bouncing around the Walt Disney World Resort, banking so many core memories! Maybe you plan to arrive on the planet of Batuu to build a droid at
Droid Depot at Disney's Hollywood Studios that will become an important part of defeating Kylo Ren and his army of Stormtroopers! Maybe you'll have a lighter day, wandering around Fantasyland, taking a ride on the
Prince Charming Regal Carrousel and grabbing a delicious DOLE Whip concoction at
Storybook Treats in
Magic Kingdom Park. Whatever path you take, there is so much magic in your future!
Christina, technology can throw us all a bit of a curveball, but I'm happy to help you enable push notifications on your device to make navigating The Most Magical Place on Earth a breeze! On an IOS device, such as an iPhone, go to "Settings," then "Notifications," tap the "Disney World" app. Toggle the "Allow Notifications" section. If you see green, you've just enabled push notifications. If you're using an Android device, go to "Settings," then "Apps & Notifications," then "App Info." Tap the
My Disney Experience Mobile App, then tap "On."
Theme park reservations are an important part of your Walt Disney World vacation these days! The answer to both of your questions is yes! When Guests cancel park reservations, they do become available for other Guests to book. This will be reflected in the
Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar. If there is a park you'd like to visit that currently shows as unavailable, you should absolutely keep checking! You never know when other Guests' plans may change, so check frequently to see if your wish has been granted!
Christina, there are two ways to chat with a Cast Member if you need assistance during your stay. There is a chat feature within the My Disney Experience Mobile App. To access the chat, tap the menu button in the bottom right corner, then scroll down to "Chat With Us." This chat is not exactly real-time, but you will get a response, so if your question is not urgent, this is a good place to go. I recently used this feature when my son left his stuffed animal in our room after checkout. I was given instructions by a Cast Member about four hours later on how to report the lost item. You may also try to utilize the
Chat Feature on the Walt Disney World Website, though this feature opens and closes throughout the day as it is highly utilized.
The best way to get real-time assistance during your vacation is to speak with a Cast Member in person. Whether at your
Disney Resort Hotel, in one of the theme parks or at a dining location, Cast Members are always around and available to help! Whether you're asking for directions, recommendations or more general help, this would be the quickest way to get all the information you need!
I hope I've helped your vacation a little more magical, Christina!
Hakuna Matata,
Ashley
