How do I sign up for prepaid gratuities?

Ahoy there, Patricia. Thanks for taking the time to stop by planDisney with your question for us.

My family and I love Disney Cruise Line, and a big reason for this is because crew members truly go “to infinity and beyond” to make sure Guests have a magical experience. To show appreciation for the crew members who take care of you during your sailing, you can opt to prepay gratuities. This can be done up to 3 days prior to your sailing by logging on to the Disney Cruise Line website. At the top of the page, under “Already Booked”, select “My Reservations”, log into your account. Scroll down and click on “Add Pre-Paid Gratuities”. Prepaying gratuity ahead of time means one less thing to worry about once you’re on your cruise.

Even though we always prepay gratuities prior to sailing, we also bring some extra cash, including small bills, for tipping room service servers. Near the end of your sailing, your stateroom steward will place several envelopes on your bed during evening turn-down service. Though not required, you can choose to give your dining room servers or stateroom steward extra gratuity if you wish.

I hope this information is helpful for you, Patricia. If you have more trip-planning questions, please don’t hesitate to stop by planDisney again.

Hope to SEA ya real soon,
    Kiki

Meet the Panelist: Kiki, California

Greetings! I have been fascinated by the magic of Disney since I was a little girl; now that I am a mother of two, I love watching my children experience Disney Parks through their own eyes. I am also surrounded by fellow Disney-loving nurse friends whom I enjoy quick adults-only Disneyland Resort escapes or Disney Cruise Line voyages with. Whether you are planning your once-in-a-lifetime family trip or a short adults-only getaway to the Happiest Place on Earth, I am here to help!
