Howdy, Janet!
Welcome to planDisney and thanks for dropping by with your question! I see you're just about a month away from your visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth. You must be getting excited! From one Midwesterner to another, I can't imagine a better place to escape to than Walt Disney World Resort.
Janet, after speaking with a Cast Member, I've been informed that the Make Your Wood Sign experience is not currently being offered regularly at
Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, but may be available in the future on an occasional basis. (Previously, this recreational offering was available only to Guests staying at the Cabins or Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort.) If you'll be staying at the Resort, I recommend asking a Cast Member or checking the Resort Recreation Schedule upon arrival. However, there are still lots of other reasons to visit the Resort!
If you haven't visited
Tri-Circle-D Ranch recently, I highly recommend checking it out! Guests are welcome to visit with the Happiest Horses on Earth and little cowpokes can enjoy
Pony Rides for a small fee.
Horse-drawn carriage rides around the Resort are also offered and advance reservations are recommended. If you're interested in a more thrilling and intense experience, check out the
Wilderness Back Trail Adventure and take in the scenery via a Segway all-terrain tour!
I hope that you find this information useful and wish you all the best with your vacation planning, Janet. If you have additional planning questions, please feel free to stop back by planDisney - we're eager to help and want to make your Walt Disney World Resort experience as magical as possible!
Happy trails,
Lauren
