How to sign up the kids for Oceaneer’s club and how many hours can the kids stay?

Hello there, Marita! I'm so glad that you visited planDisney with your question. Thanks for cruising to us as you prepare for your adventure at sea.

Sailing on the Disney Cruise Line is always a huge hit for my kids. One of the many reasons is that they always have an incredible time in Disney's Oceaneer Club! With interactive activities, plenty of entertainment options, Disney Character interactions, and incredible Crew Members leading the fun, what's not to love?

To prepare for your children (toilet trained and ages 3-12) to have a great time in the secured youth activity spaces onboard, you need to register your children as part of the check-in process for your cruise reservation. You will be prompted to do this. Check-in is available beginning 30 days prior to your sailing date and can be accessed via the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app or by signing into your account on the Disney Cruise Line website.

When you arrive at the port to embark on your cruise vacation, your children will receive Oceaneer Bands. They will use the bands to check in to the secured youth activity spaces onboard. You do not need to make reservations for the Oceaneer Club or the Oceaneer Lab. Children ages 3-12 can check in and play any time that these spaces are open for secured programming. There is no time limit in place. You can check the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app when you are onboard for the daily operating times. They are typically open from mid-morning to late evening to provide lots of opportunities to play!

I like to recommend that families take advantage of Open House times in Disney's Oceaneer Club and Lab (and even the tween and teen spaces as well). These are set times that all guests no matter their age can visit for playtime too. Open Houses are typically scheduled on the first day of the cruise and are then offered at various times throughout the sailing. You can refer to the Navigator app to see when Open Houses are scheduled.

Have you noticed a theme? The Disney Cruise Line Navigator app will guide you through all that is offered during your voyage. Please be sure to download it before you set sail! Marita, please sail right on back to planDisney if you have any further questions. We'd love to assist in any way.

    Enjoy your Disney Cruise!
