How do I sign up for Disney dining plan

Hey there, June. I'm so glad you've stopped by planDisney with your question.

June, the Disney Dining Plan is such a fan favorite. I know my family and I have enjoyed using it on many of our past trips to Walt Disney World. However, the Disney Dining Plan is still temporarily suspended. It has not yet returned to us since the reopening of Walt Disney World after the shutdown in 2020. The good news is the Disney Parks Blog has hinted at the fact that the Disney Dining Plan will more than likely make a return, we just aren't sure of when we might see it back.

A great way to budget for food and drinks while at Walt Disney World is to use Disney Gift Cards. You can pick up Disney Gift Cards at most major retail locations in a lot of different amounts. Disney Gift Cards act similar to the Disney Dining Plan in the sense that it is paid for ahead of time and has to be used for something at Walt Disney World. I like to add a Disney Gift Card to my cart when I am grocery shopping. It doesn't add a lot to my bill each week but I am always pleasantly surprised by how quickly they add up. If you'd like to try to determine how much you might spend on food during your vacation, you can check out the online menus that all of the Walt Disney World restaurants have posted. You can try to figure out what you'll probably order ahead of time and see how much it will cost. This will give you a roundabout idea of how much you'll be spending.

June, when the Disney Dining Plan does return, we will be able to find out all of the details on the Disney Parks Blog so be sure to keep an eye out over there. You can also stop back by here and ask me for an update anytime.

    Happy planning!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
