Hi Barry, welcome back to planDisney!
Your Walt Disney World Resort vacation is almost here! The mom in me has to review your pre-arrival checklist. Have you linked your tickets in
My Disney Experience and made
theme park reservations for each person for each park day? Mickey and the rest of the
Fab 50 characters statues want to know when they can expect you at the
50th Anniversary Celebration. It's not a true party until you arrive!
The Disability Access Service (DAS) is designed to assist Guests who have trouble enduring extended wait times in a traditional queue due to a disability. There are currently two ways to register for this service: 2-30 days in advance via live video chat and in-person at Guest Relations. At this time, Barry, the video chat can only be accessed in the United States. If you happen to be in the United States and can access the video chat at least 48 hours before park entry, you can preregister
here. Live chat is available from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, though the disclaimer I see just now on the site reads, "We are currently experiencing extended wait times and encourage you to check back later."
If the live chat option is not conducive to your travel plans, hakuna matata! On your first park day, you can register for DAS by visiting
Guest Relations, available at all four theme parks, both water parks, Disney Springs, and ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. A member of the Guest Experience Team, found throughout the theme parks under big, blue umbrellas, is also able to assist you. As a UK-based Guest, I encourage you to inquire at that time about the possibility of making DAS Advance selections for your park days that are two days or more in the future. Be sure to also download the
My Disney Experience mobile app, which will allow you to book your own DAS attractions, once registered.
As your Disney story comes alive, Barry, I wish you safe travels and a heart full of magical memories.
Plan magic; planDisney.
