Greetings Carol, and welcome to planDisney!
I am thrilled to see that your trip to the Walt Disney World Resort is just 2 weeks away. You are going to join the
World’s Most Magical Celebration during your visit. Don’t forget to check out all the new entertainment created just for the 50th Anniversary Celebration. My favorite new nighttime spectacular is
Disney Enchantment in the Magic Kingdom. The music, fireworks, and character projections on Cinderella Castle and the buildings of Main Street U.S.A. are absolutely breathtaking.
Disney is dedicated to the inclusion of all guests in their parks and resorts. The
Disability Access Service or DAS registration process has been updated to allow guests to pre-register for DAS prior to their arrival by a virtual chat with a Cast Member. If your arrival date is less than 30 days from today but more than 2 days before your first park visit, you can use this service. Make sure that you and everyone in your travel party already have their theme park tickets and
Disney Park Pass reservations linked to
My Disney Experience.
Once your registration is complete, the Cast Member will help you plan 2 experiences with a one-hour return window. You can schedule 2 experiences per day in advance for yourself and up to 6 members of your party as a part of
DAS Advance planning. When you arrive to begin your adventure, you will be able to use the Same-Day DAS Return Time Self-Selection Tool. You can access this tool in the My Disney Experience mobile app, or speak to a Cast Member at Guest Relations if the app is not available. You can only hold 1 Same Day DAS request at a time, in addition to the Advance DAS experiences set up during pre-registration. The live chat registration opens at 7:00 A.M. Easter Time, daily. The wait times to chat with a Cast Member can be longer later in the day, I recommend signing into your account before 7:00 A.M. to prepare for your chat.
If you are unable to pre-register online, you can register in person at Guest Relations located near the Main Entrances of Disney’s Hollywood Studios, EPCOT, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. If you need to register in the Magic Kingdom, visit the Cast Members at City Hall for assistance. If you wait to register in person, you will be unable to reserve the Advanced DAS planning experiences. If you have any more questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to the Disability ServicesTeam at (407) 560-2547, or send an email to disability.services@disneyparks.com.
Wishing you a vacation with all the magic and Pixie Dust,
Andrea
