Can siblings in different age groups stay together in the kid clubs? We have three boys aging from 8, 11, and 13? The 8 year old would like to stay with his brothers.

    Ahoy there, Emily!

Welcome aboard planDisney! The youth spaces on a Disney cruise are top-notch, and I love that your boys are already eager to set sail on their own adventures! My own kids have spent countless hours in the kids clubs, so I completely understand wanting to keep siblings together. Let’s chart the best course for your crew!

    Now, let’s talk logistics:

Your 8-year-old will have an incredible time in the Oceaneer Club & Oceaneer Lab (depending on the ship), which are strictly for ages 3 to 10—no exceptions. These spaces are designed for younger sailors, with immersive Disney experiences like becoming a superhero, piloting the Millennium Falcon, and exploring fairytale lands. While his older brothers won’t be able to join him here during secured programming, there are still plenty of ways for them to have fun together!

Your 11-year-old and 13-year-old will be setting sail for Edge, the tween club for ages 11-14. Edge is the perfect spot for them to play video games, compete in trivia, and participate in fun challenges with new friends. If your 13-year-old is looking for something a bit more relaxed, you can ask about Vibe, the teen club for ages 14-17. While 13-year-olds aren’t automatically eligible, Cast Members may allow them in with parental consent.

Now, here’s the real magic—your boys can explore the clubs together during Open House hours! This is a wonderful time for the whole family to check out all the youth spaces, snap some fun photos, and let siblings play together in any of the clubs—even the ones they wouldn’t normally have access to. My family loves popping into Open House to test out the activities and explore the theming!

While your boys may be in different clubs, don’t worry—there are plenty of ways for them to have fun together! My family loves hitting up the sports deck for a round of mini golf, taking on the Hero Zone obstacle course (on the Wish & Treasure), and teaming up for a family game show in D Lounge. Plus, there’s always the pools, water slides, and movie nights under the stars!

Emily, I hope this helps you set sail with confidence! Your boys are in for an incredible adventure, even if they’re charting different courses. No matter where they drop anchor, there’s plenty of magic to go around!

Sea ya real soon with love in the air and magic everywhere,
    Dustin
