    Diane from FL Asked

Do you have shuttles from Orlando airport

Hello and Welcome to planDisney, Diane! I'm so glad you've stopped by with your question.

Diane, Walt Disney World does currently offer a direct bus from the Orlando Internation Airport to Walt Disney World. However, that service is being discontinued at the start of next year. So, if you are inquiring about using the Magical Express for your trip next February, you'll have to find another form of transportation to get to you Walt Disney World. No worries though because I've got some options for you!

My favorite way to get from the airport to Walt Disney World, even with Disney's Magical Express running, is to use a ride-share service. While this is a paid service, I find that the promptness and how quickly I can get to Walt Disney World using it is well worth the cost of the ride. Both of the major ride-share service companies service this area and I find their prices to be competitive to one another. I do always like to check both first before deciding which company to use though because sometimes there is a coupon or discount that can be applied. If you aren't comfortable using a ride-share service, you can always take a more traditional taxi to Walt Disney World. Taxis are posted up right outside of the airport doors. I find the cost of a taxi to be a little bit more than using a ride-share service but some people are just more comfortable going this route. If neither of those options sounds great to you, you could always hire a car to be waiting for you when you arrive at the airport. A quick internet search will turn up dozens of companies that provide this service in that area. Car options generally range from a town car, SUV, passenger van and if you really want to arrive in style - a limousine! The last option I have is to use a shuttle service, like MEARS, to get you over to Walt Disney World. MEARS is actually the company that Walt Disney World contracted the Magical Express out to. After Walt Disney World made the announcement that they would be discontinuing the complimentary service, MEARS came out with a statement saying they would be offering a service of their own.

So, as you can see there are still plenty of options to get you to Walt Disney World, Diane. If you have any other questions, please feel free to stop back by and ask me. I'm happy to help. Enjoy!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
