Now that the shuttles from Anaheim hotels to Disneyland are being discontinued, how do guests get to and from hotels?

A warm welcome from all of us at planDisney to you, Kathleen. There are so many things to consider when planning a visit to the Disneyland Resort, the first of which is how to get there. Let's get this planning party started and chat about your question.

Ah yes, like you, I was also surprised and saddened to hear the news about the Anaheim Regional Transportation (ART) buses discontinuing service at the end of the month. I also have a visit planned after this change happens and am looking for alternatives for getting to the resort. But like Elastigirl, I'm remaining flexible.

My Good Neighbor Hotel is fairly close, so I'm considering walking to the Disneyland Resort as well as using a rideshare service when I want to save some steps. There's also city bus service from the Orange County Transit Authority (OCTA) that can be used to fill the gap. I recommend keeping an eye on this page for any official updates from Disneyland as you get closer to your trip. You can also reach out directly to your hotel to see if they offer shuttle service or have any other recommendations.

It's a great time to visit Disneyland with so many wonderful events planned. The Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival is currently underway with delicious eats and treats. It's the tastiest time of the year and I can't wait to indulge in all of the delectable delights during my next visit. I'm already salivating over the Mickey-shaped Macaron made with SNICKERS bar pieces. A crowd favorite for sure!

Kathleen, I'm sorry that this news is disappointing and hope that I shared some ideas for you to explore for your upcoming trip. Come back to see us with any questions that you think of as you put your plans together. Until then, I'll be wishing on a star that we get some good news about transportation options. Sending you pixie dust and wishing you a magical visit to the Happiest Place on Earth.
