Ahoy and happy holidays, Carolyn! Thanks so much for sailing by planDisney with your question. I’m delighted to help as you get ready for your Disney Cruise Line vacation!
I’ve actually been looking into this for my own cruise out of
Port Everglades, so I’m happy to share what I’ve learned. At the moment, Disney Cruise Line doesn’t offer a dedicated shuttle from Port Everglades to the Brightline Fort Lauderdale Station. The good news, though, is that the station is only about 7 miles away, usually a quick 15–20 minute ride depending on traffic. Most Guests find that a rideshare like Uber or Lyft, or even a traditional taxi, is the easiest and most budget-friendly option, especially on disembarkation day when you’ll want something convenient and quick. Disney’s terminal at Port Everglades has a clearly marked rideshare pick-up area, making it simple. Since my traveling party consists of six people, we are opting to take a private sprinter van service (we will have way too much luggage to fit into a rideshare, lol).
While DCL doesn’t provide transfers to the Brightline station, they do offer
ground transportation between the airport and the port, as well as transfers to select nearby hotels. Just for reference, airport-to-port transfers are currently $29 per Guest one way. Transfers from partner hotels include:
--Fort Lauderdale Marriott Harbor Beach Resort & Spa – $25 per Guest one way
--Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina – $21 per Guest one way
(And of course, prices are always subject to change.)
I know that’s not exactly what you were asking, but I thought it might be helpful information as you are researching your travel plans.
I hope this helps, Carolyn! If you have any other questions as your cruise gets closer, please feel free to stop by anytime.
Sea ya real soon,
Eean
