After a long day of flying there is always that one last ride before we get to hang out with Mickey and Minnie! My family frequently flies into both Orlando International Airport (MCO) and Orlando Sanford International Airport (SFB) from our home base in Michigan.
At MCO you can book a Mears Connect shuttle, grab a rideshare like Lyft or Uber, call ahead for a private car service, or rent a car for the day or for the duration of your trip. The Mears Connect might be best if you have a larger party and if you don’t mind waiting for multiple stops at various
Disney Resort hotels. I don’t have the link to share, but you can easily find them with a quick search. If you have a smaller group, the rideshare is easy and convenient and will drop you off right near the front door of your
Disney Resort hotel!
At SFB the ride is a bit longer to the resort hotels and in my experience your options include the rideshare, the private car service, and renting a car.
Once you find yourself settled into your seat the anticipation is growing to get your first look at the Walt Disney World sign as you drive to your resort! I use this time to check the
My Disney Experience app on my smartphone to check-in to my hotel room or to see if my room is ready! I also take a quick look at wait times to see if I’m going to make a quick run to my favorite park for the day!
When you arrive at your
Disney Resort hotel and get the familiar “Welcome Home” take a few minutes to just look around the lobby. I’m always amazed and transformed by the sights, the sounds, and the smells and I know that I am home!
