Is there a shuttle or mode of transportation offered from LAX to Pixar Pier where we are staying?

    Hi Lucia,

Thanks for stopping by planDisney! I am happier than Matter in a junkyard to help with your transportation questions. I understand the need to have your transportation logistics squared away before you arrive. You want to start your trip off on the right foot, or may the right wheel in this case. Luckily you have some options on how you can get from the airport to “The Happiest Place on Earth.”

Disneyland has several recommendations on how you can get from the LAX to the resort. While Disney does not have its own shuttle service, it does recommend that guests use Karmel Shuttle. You can make reservations for a shuttle ahead of time to ensure that your travel party is properly accommodated for. When I travel, I personally like to use a rideshare such as Lyft. I find that I get to my destination quicker and I don't have to wait on other passengers. However, if you are traveling with all of Radiator Springs, you may need to look closely at prices to see what is a better value and which will be able to accommodate your needs (i.e. car seats and pick up location).

Finally, if you were planning on exploring other parts of the area you could consider renting a car. There is an  Enterprise® car rental office on the second floor of the Pixar Place Hotel. You could rent a car from the airport and then drop it off at the hotel. This might be a good option if you have a late night arrival or have a large family.

Hotel Tip: I spoke to a helpful cast member and she reminded me that check in is not until after 3 pm. If your flight is arriving before that, she recommends you do a pre-check in on the Disneyland mobile app. If you give the hotel advanced notice of your early flight, there is a chance that they can prepare the first available room for you.

Lucia, I hope this was helpful information. If you have any other questions or need help planning other aspects of a magical trip, please feel free to write back to me or my fellow panelist, and we would be happy to share our thoughts.

    Wishing you a magical trip!
