Is there a shuttle or ground transportation provided by Disney from Orlando Airport or Ft. Lauderdale Airport to the Disney Ft. Lauderdale Port for the Disney Destiny Cruise in Dec 2025?

Ahoy, Tamesha, and thanks for sailing by planDisney ahead of your cruise on the Disney Destiny. The winter holidays are my favorite time of year to sail!

It sounds like you might be making a stop to say hi to my pals at Walt Disney World before boarding your Disney Cruise in December. Unfortunately, there is not a Disney shuttle that runs from Orlando International Airport to either Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport or Port Everglades. But have no fear! There are plenty of options to get you and your crew to your ship. Here are three recommendations, in order from fastest to slowest:

    - Hop on a quick flight. In just over an hour, you can fly from MCO to FLL. From there, you can book ground transportation through Disney Cruise Line from the airport to the port. Airport transfers are available for both embarkation and debarkation days.

    - Rent a car. It’s about a three-hour drive between the two cities (and not bad at all if you take Florida’s Turnpike). Depending on how many princes and princesses are in your party, it might be difficult to fit everyone in one chariot.

    - Ride a train. I just discovered that the Brightline high-speed passenger train provides train service between Orlando and Fort Lauderdale (but not to/from the airport). Because of stops, the quickest passage seems to take just over four hours.

Having lived in South Florida for a decade, I would opt for a flight if you’re looking to book transportation directly through Disney. Whatever you decide, a friendly Disney Cruise Line representative will be happy to talk through all your options with you.

While I haven’t sailed on the Disney Destiny yet, I can’t wait to experience all the hero and villain-themed spaces, especially the two new specialty cafés: Café Megara and Café Merida. I think you’ll especially love the Disney art they can create on top of your favorite latté. Of course, you can also take advantage of the complimentary coffee and tea stations around the pool deck. And if you need your morning coffee before adventuring in the great wide somewhere, don’t forget to fill out the request card in your stateroom and leave it outside your door before 3:00 AM on the morning of your desired delivery for free room service.

I hope you’ll find lots of pixie dust on your journey. If you have any other questions, don’t hesitate to come back to visit us at planDisney!

    Bon voyage,
    Sami
