Hi Thomas B! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question!
Oh boy! You picked one of the best places to stay at all of Walt Disney World!
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, including Kidani Village and Jambo House, is my family's favorite Disney Resort! You are going to absolutely love the time that you get to spend here. Kidani Village has a cozy, intimate lobby that overlooks the savanna out back. It has a serene and relaxing atmosphere and is the perfect resort to return to from a busy day at the parks. Jambo House has a grand, majestic lobby that is a show stopper the second you walk in the doors. It is definitely worth taking a trip over to see in person.
In addition to
Disney Transportation, this resort also has an internal shuttle to take you back and forth between the two resorts. The shuttle runs continuously throughout the day, so you should not need to wait more than 10 minutes at a time to catch the next one. While the shuttle is shorter in length than a typical Disney bus, there is plenty of room inside of it to store your wheelchair. If you are able to fold it up and walk onto the bus, then you will not have any issue doing so.
Since you are making the trip over to Disney's Animal Kingdom - Jambo House, do yourself a favor and head down to
The Mara to try their Zebra Domes. These delicious treats can only be found here and are a must-try. I would also try to snag an Advanced Dining Reservation for
Boma - Flavors of Africa is want to try some traditional African flavors. This restaurant offers a buffet-style selection, so you will have plenty of options to choose from while dining here. And don't forget about
Sanaa, which is located in Kidani Village. This restaurant has some of the best, authentic cuisine around. The dining at these resorts is truly amazing!
Thomas B, I hope this information helps you navigate your time at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. Have the best time during your visit next year!
Happy planning!
Greg
