Are there still shows, parades and fireworks at Disney?

Hello, Holli! It sounds like you're looking to get the most out of your Walt Disney World Resort vacation! That is the sign of a good planner!

While shows, parades, and fireworks are not going on in their traditional format, Mickey and his pals have found ways to make magical visits for their Guests! Everyone loves seeing their favorite Disney characters! You will still get to see them in all four of the Disney Parks! Characters appear throughout the day in cavalcades, motorcades, and flotillas! Each Disney Park has found a unique way for Guests to see characters! At Disney's Animal Kingdom, characters can be seen on flotillas along Discovery River! The character experiences are not announced, however, if you talk to a few Disney Cast Members at the parks, they might clue you in as to the best opportunity to see characters!

My family recently visited Magic Kingdom Park and I was pleasantly surprised as to how many cavalcades appeared throughout the day! I captured a great picture of my sons with Mickey and Minnie waving from their cavalcade directly behind the boys! I love that picture!

The traditional stage shows and performances that draw large crowds are still not being held, but some shows such as For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration at Disney's Hollywood Studios and the Dapper Dans and Magic Kingdom Park can still be enjoyed!

Keep bringing great questions to planDisney! We'll help you discover all of the magic at the Walt Disney World Resort!
