Hi There, Melissa!
Welcome Home and welcome to planDisney! Melissa, don't you just love the flexibility of Disney Vacation Club? Having the option to explore a whole new world to
Disney Destinations and beyond adds so much Member magic. Our family has exchanged Vacation Points to explore Austria, Colorado, and California, and with so many new horizons to pursue, who knows how far you'll go on your next vacation, Melissa!
I just took a peek into my own
Interval International account. You can access this from the
Disney Vacation Club website, under Destinations, and Vacation Exchange. It appears that the DVC Interval Points are NOT in addition to your Disney Vacation Club Points, but they are
potentially how many Vacation Points you would have to use should you choose to borrow ahead to make a booking through Interval International. For example, my account is showing 454 DVC Vacation Points but 0 have been deposited with Interval International. But when I click on "DVC Points Actions" and "My DVC Point Details," I can see that it shows my available Vacation Points for my current Use Year and the next two Use Years. You can then explore how many Vacation Points you would have to use based on a future Check-In date, and if you wanted, you could Deposit DVC Vacation Points if they are about to expire. Please note that if you take any actions on this site, they are irreversible.
My recommendation would be to call
Member Services for the best way to maximize your Membership, how many Vacation Points you actually have to use for planning a trip of your dreams, and for checking availability, cost, and any other details. As they have access to the specific details of your account, they would be able to best advise you how many Vacation Points you have, as well as when and how you can best use them for the next vacation of your dreams.
I hope this helps you, Melissa! If you have any further Disney planning questions, soar back to see us and we will be so happy to help you.
Enjoy making magical memories!
Keri
