Ahoy, Cynthia!
Welcome aboard planDisney! The Broadway-style shows on a Disney cruise are pure magic (pun intended!) and since the Magic is my favorite ship, you’re in for a treat when those theater curtains rise.
Once you set sail, you’ll want to use the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app to confirm showtimes, as they can shift depending on the sailing and activities onboard. Keep an eye out for a possible matinee performance—those feel a little like having a Lightning Lane to Broadway, giving you the chance to enjoy the magic in the afternoon and leave your evening open for
late-night laughs in Fathoms or maybe a quiet drink at Keys.
Now, let’s talk about the stars of the show!
The Magic typically features three dazzling productions:
•
Disney Dreams: An Enchanted Classic – a heartfelt journey with a little help from a certain Fairy Godmother and friends that always leaves me misty-eyed.
•
Tangled: The Musical – this show is practically like stepping right into the Kingdom of Corona with Rapunzel, Flynn, and a few ruffians you’ll learn to love. The puppetry with Maximus steals the show every time.
•
Twice Charmed: An Original Twist on the Cinderella Story – a story that flips the glass slipper on its head in the most bibbidi bobbidi brilliant way.
Since we’re talking about Tangled, you’ll also want to save an appetite for
Rapunzel’s Royal Table. With live entertainment during dinner from some of the Snuggly Duckling crew, it feels like you’ve jumped straight into the lantern festival. Hook Hand’s performance always has me grinning like Pascal when he’s up to mischief.
I hope this helps as you get ready to fill your evenings with Broadway-level magic at sea. You’ll laugh, sing along, and maybe even see the light in more ways than one.
Sea ya real soon as we ride the wave of summer’s final stretch in Disney style,
Dustin
