Hi Heather!
A warm welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel from one Florida resident to another! Thank you for sending us your fantastic question about proving Florida residency for your child.
Heather, if you are trying to purchase a
Florida Resident-exclusive Annual Pass or Walt Disney World Resort theme park ticket for your 9 year-old child, only you will need to prove Florida residency. The official Walt Disney World Resort theme park rule states that children under the age of 18 are not required to provide proof of Florida residency if they are accompanied by an adult with valid proof of Florida residency.
Please be sure to have one of the following IDs on hand in order to prove your Florida residency: • Valid Florida driver’s license (must have a Florida address)
• Valid Florida state-issued ID card (must have a Florida address)
• Valid Florida-based military ID
If you do not have one of the aforementioned forms of ID, there are other options! Please visit the following "frequently asked question" in order to learn more:
What proof of residence will I need to provide in order to purchase a Florida Resident park ticket or annual pass? Heather, I hope I have helped answer your question. If you have any other questions, you are welcome to return to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. We are always here to help you!
All EARS,
Priscila
