Do you have to show proof of child's age if they are under 3? If so, what documents are accepted?

    Hi Jaclyn!

Thanks for stopping by planDisney! As a mom to two young children, I understand wanting to have everything prepared ahead of your trip.

When visiting Walt Disney World Resort, you will not need to show proof of your child’s age to enter the theme parks. However, if you are making advance dining reservations, you do need to include your young child on the reservation to make sure that the restaurant can accommodate enough space for your entire party. The Cast Members will ask if you need any highchairs or booster seats when you check into your dining reservation.

From experience, I can say my kids really enjoyed character dining even when they were under the age of three. If you are visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios, I highly recommend visiting Minnie’s Seasonal Dining at Hollywood & Vine. Seeing Minnie and her friends in their seasonal outfits is so much fun, and the buffet is one of my family’s favorites. And while you’re in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the Disney Junior Play and Dance! show is a party filled with some popular Disney Junior characters. It’s a perfect time to let your little one stretch their legs and get their wiggles out!

I hope these were some helpful tips for your future trip, Jaclyn! Visiting Walt Disney World Resort with young children is such a special experience!

    Enjoy the magic!
