How to show my Disneyland entry ticket on my iPhone

Hey there, Ivar! What a great question! I am so happy to welcome you to planDisney and help you get ready for your June visit!

Your Disneyland Resort trip is just around the corner and will be here before you know it! I have a few favorite times of the year to visit, and June is one of them. Summer has just kicked off, kids are wrapping up the school year, and Disneyland feels like it is sprinkled with extra pixie dust. The vibes are pure happiness, joy, and Disney magic all bundled into one amazing place!

Being able to store and use tickets on our smartphones is a game changer. I still remember those “I swear my ticket was in this pocket!!” moments at the entrance gates. Thankfully, those days are long gone. To link and use your ticket on your iPhone, start by downloading the Disneyland Mobile app from the App Store. It has a blue icon with an uppercase “A.” While that is downloading, grab the barcode from your ticket confirmation. That barcode number is what you will use to link your ticket in the app.

If you do not already have a MyDisney Account with a login and password, you will need to create one first. You can do this either on the Disneyland website or directly in the app. When you open the app, it should land on the home page. If not, tap the home icon that looks like a little house in the bottom left corner. From there, choose Log In if you already have an account, or Create Account and follow the prompts to get set up.

Once you are logged in, tap the three line menu button in the bottom right corner. From there, select My Tickets & Passes. At the top of the screen, you will see a blue plus sign. Tap that, then choose Link Tickets & Passes. You can use your phone’s camera to scan the barcode or manually enter the ID number.

And just like that, Ivar, you are ready to go! When you arrive at the theme parks for the first time, follow the same steps and head back to My Tickets & Passes. Your ticket will be waiting there, ready to scan at the entrance gate.  You will have your photo taken, and that officially links the ticket to you. Bibbidi bobbidi boom, you are in!

While you are at Disneyland Resort, make sure to check out the Disneyland 70th Anniversary Celebration decor, treats, and especially the new nightly Paint the Night Parade before the celebration concludes in August. I saw it recently and it became my new favorite parade. The lights, interactions, and amazing songs, that yes, I am still singing to myself, are practically perfect in every way!
