Hi there, Patricia!
Thanks for stopping by planDisney. I’m happy to have the opportunity to share some thoughts about planning your visit to the Disneyland Resort.
There are
three options for parking when visiting the Disneyland Resort theme parks:
The two parking structures share a common tram service. The Toy Story Parking Area provides a shuttle bus service.
At each of the parking options, Guests with disability plates or temporary placards may ask the Cast Member at the toll booth for directions to parking stalls designated for disabled Guests. In the event that all the disability stalls are taken, a Cast Member will direct disabled Guests to a regular stall as close as possible to an elevator at a parking structure or to the bus pickup location at the Toy Story Parking Area.
Tony’s Tip: Distances between parking stalls and the trams or buses may vary depending on a number of factors each day, especially the timing of arrival of Guests. As an engineer, I am in awe of the amazing architecture of the parking structures. But they are very large. Guests who don’t have disability plates or placards may be directed to parking stalls that are a very substantial distance from the trams. For the fewest number of overall steps, I personally prefer using the Toy Story Parking Area. The bus drop-off area at the theme parks is a little bit closer to the
ECV and wheelchair rental location than the parking structure tram drop-off location. I find that when we arrive at the parking area as early as possible, we tend to be directed to parking stalls relatively close to the bus area. Note that the parking locations open 60 minutes before the earliest theme park opening time.
I hope you have a magical time at the Disneyland Resort, Patricia. We appreciate your questions here at planDisney. Please stop by again if you have any more questions.
