Mom and Dad planning vacation

If I shorten my WDW hotel reservation, will I lose all my FP+ reservations, or just the ones that I had for the days that I will no longer be staying at a WDW hotel (assuming I am modifying my WDW hotel reservation greater than 30 days out)?

Hi there, Thomas! Thanks for taking the time to visit the Disney Parks Moms Panel. You've asked an excellent question!

One of the best perks of staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel is getting access to reserve select shows and attractions up to 60 days before your arrival. Until last February, guests who canceled a Vacation Package or Room Only Reservation would retain their previously made FastPass+ selections. Now that this policy has changed, however, guests will lose any FassPass+ selections for any days in which they do not have an onsite stay. I spoke with Guest Services and followed that up with a conversation with the Internet Help Desk, and both Cast Members assured me that you will retain all your FastPasses for the days that you still have a Walt Disney World Resort hotel reservation. For the days that you cancel, you'll get an email alert with the following message: "We see a change has occurred that impacts your eligibility for the following FastPass+ experiences..." Although modifications and cancellations can sometimes be done online through your My Disney Experience account, I recommend doing it over the phone by calling (407) 939-1936.

I hope this helps, Thomas! If there's anything else you need, remember we're all ears!

Hi, I'm Eean from Pennsylvania!  I may have an unusual name, but my passion for Disney is not unique.  It’s amazing how many people you can find who love talking about, "The Most Magical Place On Earth!"  I'm that mom who always has her ears perked at PTO meetings, in the grocery store aisle, or at middle school basketball games waiting for an opportunity to give someone a planning tip to help make their vacation even more magical.
