Short visit planned. Will arrive in around 10am will be leaving again the following morning for home. Will be there for New Years Eve. My ? is what park do you suggest for this date in regards to girls ages of 16 and 12? Staying at Caribbean Resort

    Hi Tina!

New Year's Eve is one of the most magical evenings of the year at the Walt Disney World Resort! However, expect to see greater numbers of Guests in attendance that day. If you choose to visit a theme park, I would suggest Epcot. There will be storytellers in the different countries to delight everyone with tales of how the holidays are celebrated in their homeland. I recommend going to Epcot as soon as you arrive at 10:00 a.m., then staying for the duration of the day. Once theme parks reach a certain capacity, Guests won't be allowed entrance. Below you'll find some highlights of what you can expect on December 31, 2011.

    1. Magic Kingdom: Wishes Nighttime Spectacular at 8:30 p.m. and Fantasy in the Sky at 11:50 p.m.
    2. Epcot: IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth at 7:00 p.m. and 11:40 p.m.
    3. Disney’s Hollywood Studios: Fantasmic! at 6:30 and 8 p.m. There will be a Lights! Camera! Happy New Year! fireworks display at midnight.
    4. Downtown Disney Area: Guests attending the Dec. 31 Cirque Du Soleil - La Nouba performances will receive a limited-edition Walt Disney World/Cirque trading pin. Shows are at 6 p.m. and 9 p.m.
    5. Registered guests at select Disney resort hotels will be treated to live music and special entertainment. For example, there will be a four-course dining experience at Narcoossees' with special fireworks viewing at 8:30 p.m. and 11:51 p.m. For more information on other New Year's Eve dining experiences at Disney resort hotels, call (407) WDW-DINE.
    6. Disney's BoardWalk: Atlantic Dance Hall is offering a special-ticket New Year's Eve party from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. with video DJ Tony Zapulla.
