Hi there, Courtney!
We happily welcome you back to planDisney! Disney's Hollywood Studios and Magic Kingdom Park are my little ones' favorite Disney Parks. They would definitely give your Day One itinerary a 10 out of 10! Now, let's get into how you can make the most of your upcoming vacation to Walt Disney World Resort.
The
Virtual Queue system is different from purchasing an
Individual Lightning Lane experience. If you wanted to try for the free Virtual Queue, you would indeed need a
theme park reservation for Magic Kingdom Park to grab a spot at 7 a.m. or 1 p.m. As you know, with a valid theme park ticket with a
Park Hopper option, you can only start park hopping at 2 p.m. However, I have good news! At 7 a.m., no matter what your first theme park of the day is, you may still purchase an Individual Lightning Lane for
TRON Lightcycle / Run.
Usually, the
My Disney Experience app will automatically suggest return times after 2 p.m. because it'll recognize that you are park hopping. In case it doesn't, just be sure to select a boarding window that you know you can make in time. Like the Virtual Queue process, the Individual Lightning Lane selections can go fast, too, so be ready to go at 7 a.m. on the dot!
AN EXTRA GEM: Keep in mind that although you can't park hop until 2 p.m. that doesn't mean that you can't leave
Disney's Hollywood Studios before then. So, I highly recommend that you start moving over to Magic Kingdom Park a little before 2 p.m. in order to soak in as much magic as possible.
Courtney, if you have any additional Disney vacation planning questions, please revisit us here at planDisney.
I'm all ears! Magic always,
