Is 40" too short for Splash Mountain?

    Hi Ashley,

40" is a magical number!  Once your child reaches this height, he/she will be able to enjoy almost all of the attractions at Walt Disney World.  Our youngest just turned 40", and it was so much fun going on attractions as a family.

HOWEVER (and I do have to warn you), being tall enough for an attraction and being old enough to enjoy an attraction are two different things.  We took my little one on Splash Mountain, and she hated it. It is a BIG drop and can be quite scary.  Likewise, I wouldn't consider taking her on Tower of Terror yet.  As a parent, you know your child best and will be able to determine which attractions your child will like.

Hope this helps.  For a complete list of attraction requirements, click HERE.

    Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
