How ya doin', Lynn, and welcome back to planDisney!
Shopping at the Walt Disney World Resort is an Olympic sport for me. My nose has definitely been known to grow like Pinocchio's when saying I just want to take a peek in the
Emporium or swearing I'm not going to buy anything at
Creations Shop. While there are no shops directly outside of
EPCOT, that does not mean you're at the end of the road on your merchandise mission without a theme park ticket.
The place you'll want to be is
Disney Springs. There are Disney-themed gadgets and gizmos aplenty to be found at locations like
World of Disney. There's enough stuff in that single store to make my poor wallet weep. As a matter of fact, this hub of shopping, dining, and entertainment boasts over 90 spots to part with your coins and pick up some treasure.
There are also some great shopping locations at
Disney Resorts Collection hotels that will put a major dent in your budget. Snag an Advanced Dining Reservation at
The Cake Bake Shop for lunch and wander around
Disney's Boardwalk, loading up on sundries as you go.
Pro-tip: If EPCOT merch is sitting heavy in your spirit and you only planned on doing other parks, it may be time to think about upgrading that
Theme Park Ticket to include the Park Hopper Option. Seeing EPCOT decked out in her floral finery for the
EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival is certainly worth the price of admission.
Lynn, may the weight of your Disney shopping bags not topple you over in the parking lot. If you have any other questions, please feel free to
come back for another chat.
Happy planning!
Taylor
