Is there a shop at Disney that sells scrapbooking materials? Is there a place at Port Orleans or anywhere at Disney where we can ship a box of clothing home? We're trying to see if it's cheaper than paying for an extra bag on the airplane. Thanks.

    Hey Judy!

I just love your question because I'm a scrapbooker too.  While I'm on vacation I'm always looking for things to include in my Disney scrapbooks.  While most hotel gift shops at Walt Disney World offer at least a few scrapbook-related items, you'll find the best selection at Downtown Disney.  Check out the World of Disney and Disney's Wonderful World of Memories stores in the Downtown Disney Marketplace.

The Guest Services desk at your hotel will assist you if you wish to ship a box of your belongings home via the U.S. Postal Service during your vacation.  They will not have shipping supplies on hand, however, so you might want to put a flat shipping box and some packing tape in your suitcase as you are packing for your trip.  Sometimes the housekeeping staff will have boxes on hand but that is not guaranteed.

Another option is to keep your clothing in your suitcase and ship your souvenirs home instead.  Just let the Cast Member who is completing your transaction know before the sale is processed that you wish to have the items sent directly to your home.  I've done this many times and it has worked out very well.  Typically our items arrive home just a few days after we do.

Have fun planning your upcoming trip and enjoy scrapbooking all the wonderful pictures you'll take while you're there.
