Hi Maureen,
Thanks for stopping by with another great
Walt Disney World Resort planning question! My family recently returned from our Disney vacation and my daughters were tickled to be "back home" while visiting the Canada Pavilion at EPCOT! They chatted with the friendly Cast Members at the
Kidcot Fun Stop and smiled when they spotted familiar favorites - Coffee Crisp bars, bottles of Canadian maple syrup, and a few maple-leaf treasures - while exploring the
Trading Post.
I chatted with a Cast Member and they confirmed that all merchandise locations on Walt Disney World property only accept U.S. Dollars as legal tender so unfortunately, no loonies, toonies or other Canadian coins will be accepted.
Speaking of coins, you can find a neat memorable keepsake at the Canada Pavilion - there is
coin press machine tucked away in the Trading Outpost. The coins feature Mickey and friends enjoying various winter activities. My favorite is Mickey standing in front of the iconic Hotel du Canada. You can purchase the coins individually or you can purchase all 8 coins together.
I hope this information is helpful as you plan your next visit to EPCOT. Oh and be sure to try Canada's maple popcorn. It's delicious! If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to visit us again at
planDisney!
Adventure is out there,
Candace
