What shoes should I get for my kids

    Welcome BACK, Sheila!

It's great to see you asking another great Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question to us hEAR at the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I'm excited for you to get back Home to check out all of the new and exciting things that have opened since your last visit, like the entire planet of Batuu in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. And keep your eye on the Disney Parks Blog for updates about all of the latest and greatest set to debut before your arrival!

For my own Mouseketeer, I found that we cannot go wrong with a pair of crocs or natives. Since these are worn without socks, we break them in before our trip, and just in case of a blister I bring a pack of bandages with me. (And pro tip: The in-park First Aid stations would love to give you a complimentary bandage, and also a sticker!)

I like that crocs have a bit more cushioning than standard shoes, and that the natives have an actual back to ensure they'll stay on his foot. But what I really love about these two brands is that the almost foam-like material is perfect for spills and puddles because any liquid that does get on or in them can drain quickly, they are easy to clean should they become sticky, and they can be wiped fully dry in a matter of seconds. These are great for the minor puddles kids always seem to find, especially on boat rides where a bit of water may collect in the floor of the attraction vehicle, like Pirates of the Caribbean and Frozen Ever After. But they are perfect for hotter days and wetter attractions, like Splash Mountain, Kali River Rapids and the Casey Jr. Splash 'N' Soak Station. I even have a hot pink pair of crocs in my size for just such attractions.

Should you bring other shoes that do get wet or sticky, all Disney Resort Hotels have on-site Laundry Services. You don't even have to worry about packing detergent or quarters as everything can be paid for with a credit card!

I hope this helped to plan your upcoming Disney Days, Sheila, and We'll See You Real Soon!
