    Shoes! With all of our exploring I want our family to have the right footwear. I know they should be pre-worn, what do you recommend? I"ve heard Crocs are good and waterproof! Do they get slippery on the WDW surfaces when it rains? Thank you.

    Fantastic question and one that I know has crossed the minds of many people that are planning for their Walt Disney World vacation!  I would highly recommend wearing pre-worn shoes.  You know you will be safe from blisters and also know the comfort they offer after a long day of walking.  I have had to address this question before with another guest and I would like to share with you the advice I gave them.     Now as for the surfaces at WDW, I would really do a small experiment at home.  Try wetting the grounds of all different surfaces around you, especially your "basic" street.  This is the type of surface you will find at all four parks.  If you feel as if you find yourself slipping or very uncomfortable with walking with Crocs on wet surfaces, I would look for some other form of footwear. Some people have a problem with walking on any type of wet surfaces no matter what they are wearing. My own kids always have two sets of shoes.  Even though I do bring along pre-worn shoes, sometimes with so much walking, they tend to start rubbing against some part of their feet.  A change in shoes the next day tends to help in this area.  I also enjoy doing this because I would not enjoy buying some costly shoes while in the parks.
