What ships are connected to the Alaskan cruises?

    Ahoy, Faye!

Welcome aboard planDisney! Alaska is absolutely breathtaking, and I love that you're looking to experience those towering glaciers, incredible wildlife, and postcard-worthy scenery from the deck of a Disney ship. Having lived in Alaska, I can tell you it's one of those destinations that somehow manages to exceed even the highest expectations.

For the 2026 and 2027 Alaska sailings, the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder are the two ships exploring the Last Frontier. This year marks the first time we've seen two Disney ships sailing Alaska itineraries simultaneously, and Disney is planning to do the same in 2027. Beyond that, we'll have to wait and see what Captain Mickey has charted on the map. Disney likes to keep a few surprises tucked away in the treasure chest, so it's impossible to know whether this will become the new normal for 2028 and beyond. Who knows? Maybe one day the Disney Dream or Disney Fantasy will answer the call of the wild and head north to glacier country.

One thing I especially love about the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder is that they're the perfect size for Alaska. There's something special about standing on the deck with a warm cup of coffee, watching snow-capped mountains drift by while keeping an eye out for whales, bald eagles, or even a bear along the shoreline. It feels a little like stepping into Brother Bear, except you're experiencing the story firsthand.

The Alaska itineraries tend to be incredibly popular, especially if you're hoping to book a verandah stateroom. Watching the scenery unfold from your own private space is an experience many Guests look for, so I always recommend booking as early as possible when you can. You'll also want to keep an eye on the Special Offers page. New opportunities to save a little treasure seem to appear as often as salmon in an Alaskan stream, and you might find the perfect deal for your crew.

I hope this helps as you begin planning your own journey to the Last Frontier! Alaska has a way of making even the biggest Disney fans feel like they're discovering a whole new world, one glacier-carved shoreline at a time.

Sea ya real soon as the days grow longer and the countdowns grow shorter,
