How much is it to ship two droids and a light saber from CA to Texas?

    Hello again, Laura!

One of the most exciting parts of a Disneyland Resort visit is taking home a unique keepsake to remember the magic long after your trip ends. Some of my family's favorite mementos have come from journeying to a galaxy far, far away, crafting a lightsaber with Savi, and building a droid at the Droid Depot. While we hand-carried our treasures back home on the plane (you'd be surprised that the droids fit nicely into a backpack and the lightsaber does, indeed, fit in the overhead compartment!), it's a nice option to ship them directly to your home planet so you go undetected by the First Order during your travels.

Once you have put the finishing touches on your droids and lightsabers, let the Cast Members assisting with checkout know that you'd like to have your goods sent directly back home. They will be able to provide you with the most up-to-date instructions, but in my experience, you will be directed to go to the First Order Cargo. The Cast Members there will ask to see your original receipts and will help you prepare your package for shipping. Shipping rates are by distance and weight, so unfortunately, I don't have the exact cost of how much you will be charged to send your items back to Texas. I can tell you that both droids and lightsabers can weigh roughly 3-4 pounds, but exact weight will vary as they are customized and each can be different.

Before you head to the First Order Cargo, I highly recommend taking your droids and lightsabers out for a spin throughout Galaxy's Edge! I specifically scheduled my son's visit to Savi's Workshop for just before sunset so that when we emerged, dusk had settled and made the perfect backdrop to highlight the glow of the force. There are typically Disney PhotoPass photographers stationed at the Millennium Falcon, which makes for the perfect photo opportunity! If you have added Lightning Lane Multi Pass to your tickets, unlimited downloads of any PhotoPass photos taken that day are yours to keep! So, don't be shy, capture the moment in as many ways as you'd like!

Laura, I hope this helps you plan ahead so your new galactic companions make it home safe and sound. If you have any more questions, we are always here for you at planDisney!

May the magic be with you,
    Tara
