Bright Suns, Maria Tereza and welcome to planDisney!
Now if making the journey from Ontario to Orlando wasn't enough, there's really nothing that compares to what it's like to end up under the three suns of
the planet Batuu at Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. In and around Black Spire Outpost, I frequently observe shoppers and smugglers alike getting their hands on interplanetary merchandise to take them "off-planet", and I've spoken with the citizens of Batuu themselves and the shopkeepers within the bustling marketplace about what it's like to send their wares off to regions beyond:
- I recommend not only hanging on to any "cargo slips" (receipts) that you receive, but also take a picture just in case as you inquire about shipping with a Cast Member; I was directed over to First Order Cargo for more information despite my allegiance to the Resistance and it might be a good idea to wait until you've completed all of your purchases at Disney's Hollywood Studios that day if you're thinking of sending multiple items back home.
In my personal experience, not only did it cost significantly more but took far longer for anything to be shipped to Canada (even if it was coming from a galaxy far, far away) and though pricing and shipping times are always subject to change without prior notice, a lot of fellow Canadians find it far more worth just bringing your lightsabers or new droid pals with you on the plane. The best part is, they come in special carrying cases for extra protection just in case! Another recommendation that I have is looking for reservation times for either of these experiences later on towards the end of the day; this is when I witness the flash and glow of fellow lightsaber wielders taking dramatic evening photos or navigating the terrain of Batuu with perhaps fewer denizens wandering about in the dark. However you choose to bring these intergalactic goods with you, I do hope they find a safe place at home!
May the Force be with you, always.
