Bright suns, Sarah! Welcome to planDisney, where we will travel to galaxies far, far away to get the answers to your Disney vacation planning questions!
Building a lightsaber at
Savi's Workshop in
Galaxy's Edge at
Disney's Hollywood Studios is an unforgettable experience. And when I say experience, I mean it! Sure, the end result is you get to bring home a lightsaber, but you
built it yourself alongside the "Gatherers" at Black Spire Outpost. Many Guests feel it's a surprisingly emotional experience for them, and if there's anything the
Walt Disney World Resort is good at, it's creating immersive experiences tied to our deepest emotions. You're going to have a blast!
At this time, souvenir shipping to international destinations is unavailable. While it never hurts to ask a Cast Member in Galaxy's Edge and at your
Disney Resorts Collection Hotel, your best bet is to check with your airline to determine if you can carry it on or check it with your luggage. You can also look for a FedEx or UPS location near the resort to ship it back home yourself.
Galaxy's Edge is full of incredible experiences besides building your own lightsaber. You can join the Resistance on the groundbreaking, state-of-the-art attraction
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. Want to pilot the Millennium Falcon? That's possible with a ride on
Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run. You can enjoy some intergalactic food at
Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo and some specialty beverages at
Oga's Cantina. And don't forget to try the blue or green milk (or both!) at the
Milk Stand. Ooh...and my favorite, if you're a coffee drinker, you
have to try the
Cold Brew Black Caf at
Kat Saka's Kettle.
Sarah, I hope you enjoy your visit to the Walt Disney World Resort and the planet of Batuu. Please
reach out to me if you have any other questions.
May the spires keep you,
Matt
