Does the ship allow tours of the bridge? My husband is an avid boatsman and I'm surprising him for his birthday with a Disney cruise and he'd love to tour the bridge.

    Ahoy, Melinda!
Thanks for cruising by with your question!

Unfortunately, Disney Cruise Line does not offer tours of the bridge for guests. However, there are several other tours and seminars that are offered that give guests an inside look at the making of the ship and a few peeks "behind the magic".

One of my favorite offerings is The Art of the Theme Show tour - an amazing tour  that takes you through various areas around the ship. You'll learn the reasons behind choices of colors, names, art and much more. You'll learn all kinds of fun trivia about the ship, little secrets that only your guide can tell you! Make sure to check your daily schedule (your Personal Navigator) to see times and dates listed for this super-fun tour.

I'm sure your husband would love the chance to "talk shop" (or "talk ship"!) with the ship's officers. On our last cruise, while there wasn't a scheduled meet and greet with the officers, they were gathered in the Atrium Lobby one night before dinner to meet guests and pose for pictures. There was also a scheduled time and place for Officer Pin Trading, and a Captain's Signing event in the art gallery. You can also check with Guest Services to see if there will be any other times the officers will be around for a chat.

What a surprise you have in store for him! I know he will be overwhelmed with your incredible thoughtfulness. I hope you have a magical time on your Disney Cruise vacation! - Diane W.
