Hi Jessica, welcome to planDisney!
Your Walt Disney World Resort vacation is just around the riverbend. The mom in me wants to remind you that each Guest in your party requires valid admission, a
theme park reservation, and a
method of entry (MagicBand, MagicBand+, Disney MagicMobile pass, or admission card) for theme park entry. All of these vacation entitlements are housed in
My Disney Experience. Connecting with everyone in your party as
Family & Friends lets you view and make plans for the group. It sounds like you manage the My Disney Experience account profile for your son, so let's go over the steps for adding your son to your husband's Family & Friends List.
1. Make sure the words "My list is shared" appear next to your name on your
Family & Friends List in My Disney Experience. If they do not, click "Update" and "Share My List."
2. Ask your husband to click "Add a Guest" at the bottom of his Family & Friends List.
3. Your son's name should automagically appear for selection when "Find through my connected Guests" is selected because your son is connected to you and your list is shared. In my experience, a page refresh or app restart may be required if you just updated your list-sharing preferences.
To access your Family & Friends List in the
My Disney Experience mobile app, click the three small lines at the bottom right of the app's home page, scroll down to "My Profile," and click on the "Family & Friends List" tab.
I hope this information helps streamline your planning efforts, Jessica. During my family's park days, my husband and I take turns purchasing
Disney Genie+ service and booking Genie+ Lightning Lane attractions for our family of four. This only works because we're all connected as Family & Friends.
Please don't hesitate to reach out to planDisney with any other trip-planning questions.
