How do I share "my plans" with family and friends?

Hi there, Beth! Welcome to planDisney. I know how helpful it can be to have everyone’s plans together when you’re traveling with family and friends, especially when you’re trying to coordinate Lightning Lane selections, hotel reservations, and dining plans! Let’s take a look and see how you can get everything organized for your upcoming visit.

Disneyland works a little differently from Walt Disney World when it comes to sharing plans. Unlike the My Disney Experience app, you won’t link your family and friends’ accounts together in the Disneyland app. Instead, you can link your theme park tickets to one another. This allows you to easily make Lightning Lane selections for everyone in your party from your own Disneyland app, which can be especially helpful when you have a large group of friends that you’re trying to get on the same attraction!

To link your tickets, open the Disneyland app and tap the (≡) in the bottom right corner. From there, tap “My Tickets & Passes,” followed by “Link Tickets & Passes.” You can then scan the barcode from another Guest’s ticket or enter the ticket ID manually. Once everyone’s tickets are linked, you’ll be able to make Lightning Lane selections for your group right from your own app!

You can also share your hotel reservation with your family and friends if they’re on the reservation with you. From the (≡) menu, tap Hotel Reservations. As long as you have the confirmation number associated with your stay, you can link the reservation so everyone staying with you can easily keep up with those important details.

Dining reservations work a little differently. You won’t be able to link them to your family and friends through the Disneyland app, but you can share the reservation details with everyone in your group so they know when and where you’ll be dining together.

So, while the Disneyland app may work a little differently than what you may be used to at Walt Disney World, you can still keep your group connected and make planning together a breeze! I recommend getting everyone’s tickets and hotel reservation linked before your visit so you’re ready to make those Lightning Lane selections and enjoy your magical visit together.

Beth, thank you so much for visiting planDisney! I hope this helps you get everyone organized and ready for making core memories together. If you have any more questions while planning away, planDisney is here for you!
