Hi there Heather, welcome to planDisney! Thanks so much for bringing us your question. It sounds like you’re planning a magical trip to the
Walt Disney World Resort with a big group. I'm thrilled to help you find the best way to enjoy those unforgettable PhotoPass memories together without all the extra planning clutter. Let’s make sure your experience is as smooth and pixie dusted as possible!
To share
PhotoPass photos without sharing reservations in My Disney Experience, you can adjust your
Family & Friends settings to control what others see.
Start by opening the
My Disney Experience app or website. Go to your profile, then open your Family & Friends list. For each person you’re connected with, click "Update" next to their name. You’ll see options for what you want to share. Uncheck the option that allows them to view your plans. This will hide your Lightning Lane and dining reservations from their view. Make sure the option to share PhotoPass photos is still selected. This allows them to see and download any photos linked to your account.
This method keeps your plans private while still letting your group enjoy shared access to photos. Only one person in your group needs to purchase Memory Maker. As long as that person is connected to everyone else via Family & Friends and the photo sharing box is checked, all linked photos, including ride and photographer pictures, will be available for download.
If you're traveling with a large family, it's often easier to have each immediate family group manage their own Lightning Lane plans, while staying connected just for PhotoPass sharing. This keeps the app interface less cluttered and makes planning more manageable.
I hope you find this information helpful as you prepare for your visit to Walt Disney World, Heather. Thank you again for visiting planDisney. We'll see ya real soon!
