Welcome to planDisney, Jean-Sebastien! I'm so glad to be able to answer your question today. It sounds like you're planning some seriously delicious meals during your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World next year.
Deciding on dining is my favorite part of the vacation planning process, so I'm happy to clarify some of the finer points of the
Disney Dining Plan so you have all the information before you make your reservations later this year.
When it comes to the Disney Dining Plan, an important thing to know is that meals and snacks are non-transferable and can only be used by the guests listed on your vacation package reservation. That means that you won't be able to use your dining credits to pay for meals for someone who isn't on your package.
Each guest on your reservation is assigned a set number of meals and snacks, and all of those credits are pooled together and shared among your group. So you can use more than one credit at a time within your party, for example, if one person wants to redeem multiple snacks at a festival booth, or one person places everyone's
Quick-Service order, but they can't be used to cover anyone who's not included on the dining plan portion of your package.
That said, you're absolutely welcome to dine together at Table Service restaurants with another party; you'll just need to settle the bill separately with each group using their own payment method. Just let your server know when you sit down that you'd like to split the check, and they'll be happy to help!
I hope this answers your question, Jean-Sebastien, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation!
