Ahoy, Vicky!
Welcome back to the Moms Panel and thank you for sending in another great question. Your vacation is coming up soon -- countdown time! I'm sure you're already planning all the outfits and finalizing all the plans onboard and your port adventures. And of course, you've got to plan the 'coming home' part... oh, boo! Disembarkation day is always a sad day... tears are optional.
Once you disembark in the morning, there's so much more to do while in Barcelona before you leave for your late flight. You definitely want to make sure that you take advantage of your last day in this magnificent port city. Have you had a chance to check out the
debarkation day port adventure? This might be a very convenient way of spending your last day in Barcelona, and it also takes care of baggage handling/storage for the day, and bringing you to the airport. Another option would be to travel out to the Barcelona Airport (BCN) and keep your luggage in the Terminal 1 at the Baggage Storage Lockers. It takes a little bit extra time to go back and forth, but it is an option. You can find additional information when you search for that on Google.
My family spent an extra post-cruise hotel stay in Barcelona, and we were able enjoy this gorgeous town some more. Staying a post-cruise night, allowed us to visit a couple more places and it was perfect timing to check out the evening Barcelona Magic Fountain at Mont Juic Parc. It also allowed us to stretch our sea legs and get used to solid ground again.
I hope that this info helps, Vicky. What do you think will work for your situation? I hope that your last day in Barcelona remains eventful and fun for you and the kids.
Happy planning!
