I have a severely handicapped daughter that is fed through a g-tube. Can the rest of the family purchase the dining plan without having to purchase one for her also. She is 17 years old but the size of an 8 year old.

    Hi Deborah,

I'm assuming that you are not getting the dining plan as part of a vacation package & plan to purchase it separately for the other members of your family - let me know if this is not the case. If this is the case, you will not be required to purchase a dining plan for your daughter. Cast Members are excellent with working with families of special needs children - just explain the situation if anyone asks - I'm sure no one will give you a problem.

If you are making reservations for your family at any dinner shows, you will be required to pay for her to attend the show.  If you are making any advanced dining reservations, be sure you include her in the total number of people for the reservation and explain your situation to the Cast Member when you book. That way they can plan for a wheelchair accessible table for you. I'm including the link regarding the dining plan here just in case you have questions for the other members of your family.

Disney World is an excellent place for accommodating guests with disabilities & has a link devoted to assisting those guests - click here. Make sure you visit Guest Relations to obtain a Guest Assistance Card when you enter a theme park. This will help alert Cast Members that your daughter requires special assistance. If you have any other questions, please let me know. I'm happy to assist you in making this a great trip for your whole family.

Wishing you many magical memories :-)
