Hi Mindy,
Welcome to planDisney! How exciting that your visit to
The Happiest Place on Earth is, in the words of Pocahontas, "Just around the Riverbend!" I hope you're counting down the days and looking forward to the magic and fun!
There is a service called
Disability Access Service that is provided for Guests whose
disabilities make waiting in traditional queues difficult. Eligibility is decided on a case-by-case basis, so you'll want to stop by
Guest Relations once you arrive and have an informal conversation about your concerns. The Cast Member may ask you a few questions to see if the Disability Access Service would best meet your needs, and if you qualify, they'll get you all set up then and there. I'd also encourage you to keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog as well as the Disability Access Service page that I linked above. Some exciting changes are coming to the service this fall, and the ability to pre-register and make some attraction selections ahead of time are coming soon!
While you're at Guest Relations, I'd also recommend asking the Cast Member about quiet locations around the parks where you could go if you need a bit of a break. Of course, please don't hesitate to ask any Cast Member for assistance at any point if you need something!
As the mama of an Autistic Mouseketeer, I'm happy to share that we've found our Disney vacations to be magical for
everyone in our family, and I hope that yours will be for you, too! Thanks for stopping by planDisney, Mindy, and please let us know if we can help with anything else as you're preparing for your visit!
Missy
