Hello! My DS has severe allergies to peanut, egg, milk and soy. He can have coconut milk ice cream and specially prepared desserts made with egg substitute and almond milk, etc. will there be any treats/desserts available for him or should I pack my own?

    Hi Chanel (love the name)!

I have to say that Disney Cruise Line is exceptional at handling dietary restrictions and food allergies. You're son will not have any issues dining onboard. Please call the cruise line before sailing and tell the reservationist what your son's food allergies are (in detail). It will be noted on your reservation. On your first evening, your Server will ask if there are any food allergies they need to be concerned with. Go ahead and remind them. Your evening Servers follow you throughout the cruise, dining room to dining room, and really get to know you. They'll take care of you.

If you are having breakfast or lunch in one of the dining rooms please inform your Server of the food allergies. They will accommodate your son's diet. The same goes with the quick serve establishments on the pool deck. They have the ingredients list for everything that is prepared. They are trained and happy to help anyone who needs it.

In reference to ice cream and desserts, I'm positive that the chefs onboard will be able to create some special treats for him.  Remember, speak with your Server at the beginning of the meal regarding your son's allergies.  A chef will come to speak with you regarding your son's allergies, likes/dislikes, and will create something unique for him.

Have a wonderful time on your trip Chanel! Thanks for visiting the Moms Panel!
