Hello and welcome to planDisney, John!
From snacks to dessert, from Quick-Service to Signature dining and everything in between, I love to talk about
dining around the Walt Disney World Resort. While I haven't made it to every restaurant yet, it sure would be a delicious feat! Now, John, as much as I love "sit-down" meals that are sometimes only available with an
advanced dining reservation, I know that plans can change, so let's talk about cancelling reservations.
If you are able to cancel your reservation at least 24 hours in advance you will not be charged for that reservation. However, if you are within 24 hours of your reservation there is a
per person fee that will be charged for a last-minute cancellation. For restaurants requiring a credit-card hold, you should see the cancellation fee on your confirmation email. Please note that prices are subject to change, but in the past it has been $10 per guest.
John, if you're unsure whether or not you'll be able to make your reservations, I highly encourage you to have conversations with your traveling party more than 24 hours in advance of your reservation so that you can avoid the last-minute cancellation fee. If you cancel in advance but wish you would have kept the reservation the day of, you can always request to join the
Walk-Up wait list (pending availability) or search for a "day-of" reservation on
the My Disney Experience Mobile App.
I hope this information is helpful as you're thinking ahead to your November visit. With so much good food to sample, you're bound to feel like Ego at Gusteau's with
Remy in the kitchen!
Bon Appetit!
Lauren
