Hello Jenifer!
Welcome to planDisney! I think the day I opened my Disney Visa credit card was a dangerous one. The amount of shopping it has helped facilitate is a bit scandalous but I have zero regrets. I love cute merchandise and I'm ok with my wardrobe having character and characters.
There are two
Disney Visa cards: the Disney Premier Visa and the Disney Visa. The Disney Premier Visa lets you earn 5% in
Disney Rewards Dollars on purchases made on the
Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN websites. You can also earn 2% in Disney Reward Dollars on purchases at gas stations, restaurants, and the US-based Disney Theme Parks. Finally, 1% can be earned on every other purchase. The regular Disney Visa card earns you 1% on every card purchase. Whichever card you have, all purchases must be made with the card at the point of sale and cannot be applied after. If you have a personal debit card that can apply points that are different from the Disney Visa, there might be a way to apply receipts to obtain "points" after the fact but none affiliated with Disney. I suggest you call the company that manages your debit card to see what rewards or points they offer. Also, unfortunately, there is no rewards program affiliated with Walt Disney World Resort outside of using the Disney Visa Card. With the Disney Visa Card, you will get a Disney Rewards Redemption Card that you will have to keep safe. You can keep refilling it as your Disney Reward Balance fills up again. These
Disney Rewards Dollars can help pay not just for Park merchandise but for your Resort stay and tickets to see Disney, Disney and Pixar, Star Wars, and Marvel movies at AMC Theatres.com.
Guests have found ways to get discounts for merchandise and their Resort stays by being
Annual Passholders,
Florida Residents, or
members of the US Military. This doesn't create any points or rewards but the savings are present right at the front end of your trip! I would also be remiss not to mention that there are quite a few
Special Offers available to guests for any upcoming trips. That Special Offers page is the busiest I have seen in quite a while. I know your trip has passed but I hope you come back soon with all the best discounts and deals.
I hope this was helpful and you have a magical day!
Happy Planning!
