Hello Heather! Thanks for being a great family member! The Walt Disney World Resort makes every effort to ensure that all Guests have a magical vacation experience! That includes
Guests with disabilities.
Some Guests, particularly those with disabilities, may not be able to wait in a traditional queue to experience a ride or attraction. For those Guests, the Disney Parks utilize
Disability Access Services (DAS). Guests who believe they may qualify for DAS should report to Guest Relations upon their arrival at any of the Disney Parks. Once you arrive at Guest Relations, you’ll be able to discuss the unique needs of members of your travel party. If members of your party qualify for DAS, they will be able to report to an attraction of interest and receive a return time comparable to the current wait time for the attraction without having to wait in the traditional queue. Guests are then free to enjoy the park, take a break, get a meal or snack, or experience other attractions or ride while they wait to return to their attraction or ride at the designated time.
Heather, once a Guest is approved for DAS at one park, the service will continue to be honored at the other Disney Parks for the duration of your vacation (and up to 60 days)! And, coming later this fall, applying for DAS will be made even easier, as Guests will be able to pre-register. I hope that this information is helpful to you and members of your party! Thank you, again, for planning for all members of your party to have a great vacation!
