Hello and welcome to
planDisney, Rebecca. I'm so glad you've stopped by to chit-chat about your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation. April will be here before you know it, I bet you are getting so excited!
Rebecca, new date-based Walt Disney World Theme Park tickets do have a certain time period of which they need to be used up by or they expire. It is not possible to break up your seven-day park hopper ticket into 4 days in April and then 3 days later in the year.
Here is a breakdown of when
Walt Disney World Theme Park tickets need to be used by:
1-day – The ticket expires on the selected start date.
2-day – The ticket expires 4 days after the selected start date.
3-day – The ticket expires 5 days after the selected start date.
4-day – The ticket expires 7 days after the selected start date.
5-day – The ticket expires 8 days after the selected start date.
6-day – The ticket expires 9 days after the selected start date.
7-day – The ticket expires 10 days after the selected start date.
8-day – The ticket expires 12 days after the selected start date.
9-day – The ticket expires 13 days after the selected start date.
10-day – The ticket expires 14 days after the selected start date.
This is for Walt Disney World Theme Park tickets that have been sold in recent years. Quite some time ago, Walt Disney World used to sell
non-expiring tickets and you could use them here and there until they were all gone. That type of ticket was sold up until 2004 and is still honored today.
It may be more beneficial for you to purchase new 4-day tickets for your trip in April and save the 7-day ticket for later this year. I think if it were me, I'd go ahead and
call Guest Relations to see what can be done and if they can offer any other ideas or advice.
I hope this helps, Rebecca. If you have any other questions before your trip, please feel free to stop back by and
ask me. I'm here to help.
Have fun!
Jackie H.
