I have seven people in my party. All are linked on one account. What if we want to do different things? How do we split them up?

Welcome Raul! We appreciate you bringing your question to planDisney. I see you are just about ready to arrive at Disneyland Resort. January is one of my favorite months to enjoy the magic at Disneyland Resort. The midday temperatures are usually perfect but don't forget to dress in layers for the cooler mornings and evenings.

It is completely fine for you to have your complete party on one account, I actually always recommend that to my friends to at least have one person keep all of the party’s tickets together on one account. In case you all want to split up, there are two different suggestions that would work. First, you could just share your account information with each person in your party. You can have more than one person signed on to the same account in the app at the same time. This is what we do in our family and it makes it easy for anyone who wants to go off on an attraction or snack run by themself.

Now if it’s multiple adults meeting up as friends, I would maybe suggest something different. In this case, I would suggest that you remain the head of the group and have them all attached to your account, but also have each person create a Disney account. You can share their ticket number with them so they also have access to it independently on their own account. This will allow you all to be linked together for certain things like dining reservations and if you take advantage of Disney Genie+ service. It also gives each member the flexibility to independently have their own accounts to attach payment options, so each person can successfully mobile order their own food in the Disneyland app throughout the day.

Now that we have that all cleared up, I wanted to suggest Disney Genie+ service. Since your tickets are already secured, you can add this service to each ticket as soon as you each scan into the first park of the day. Not only will this allow you to select Lightning Lanes for select attractions throughout the park, but it also includes Disney PhotoPass digital downloads. This will allow you to get plenty of group photos throughout your day in the parks to keep those memories alive!

Thanks again for stopping by, Raul. I hope you enjoy your stay at The Happiest Place on Earth. See ya real soon!
